The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law over twenty years ago. The history of the act reaches back much farther to the Civil Rights Movement and even to the the Declaration of Independence which states that all men are created equal. The ADA gives employment and access rights to those who face limits of disabilities. In addition to requiring compliant facilities, the act requires that facilities be marked with ADA signs.
