Why should I see a wellness coach?
A wellness coach can help you harness the desire for physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional wellness that is already within you. If you want to live the best life possible, you must be healthy. A wellness coach can help you master the daily stresses of life that we all experience.
One of Benjamin Franklin’s life goals was to be healthy, wealthy and wise. It’s not by accident that healthy is mentioned first. Being healthy is so important to achieving your other goals that it should be a priority. If you want to wake up each morning feeling, refreshed, invigorated and ready to go, a wellness coach can help you. You can stop being jealous of the people who wake up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and start being one of those people.
Your coach will work with you on a number of things that will improve your daily life, such as:
Improving your nutrition Addressing and overcoming roadblocks that keep you from achieving your mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional fitness goals Managing your weight Reducing your stress by identifying and eliminating sources of stress Managing risks to your health. Your wellness coach may not be a medical doctor, but she has insight and information on many health risks including diabetes, hypertension and others. Creating a workout plan and sticking to it. Working to improve or resolve issues of sleep deprivation or sleep quality Improving your concentration, focus and mental clarity so that you can achieve your goals Improving your energy level and maintaining a high energy level Improving your memory and keeping you more alert Keeping a healthy, active sex life.
Many people are interested in health, wellness and fitness. As a baby boomer, I know how important these areas are to my generation especially. We hate aging and would gladly turn back the clock, so it’s no surprise that careers aimed at keeping us young are growing rapidly compared to other industries. Wellness coaching helps keep us healthy, fit and looking and feeling young. If you’re looking for a way to drink from the fountain of youth, you should consider a wellness coach.
I’ve got an intense and deeply personal reason to maintain my health and be a wellness coach. My extended family, on the whole, has not been the model of healthy living or longevity. I attempted to overcome this through being a vegetarian for many years, yet I’ve had plenty of bad, unhelpful eating habits, also.
Then, after returning from a business conference, I got a terrible wake-up call. After leaving the conference I felt inspired and optimistic and had come up with a number of new business ideas. Then I got a call from my sister and learned that my cousin had suffered a massive heart attack.
I have recently devoted my life to wellness. I am motivated to put my health before just about all other facets of my life. Health is everything. If you’re not in good health, you won’t be able to live your life to the fullest. You can kiss your dreams and plans goodbye.
I remember a time when I twisted a few vertebrae in my back after falling down the stairs in my house. I have never been in that much pain in my life! I saw both various doctors plus my chiropractor; no one could provide any relief. Only time itself could heal me at this point. My mind was young but my body felt old and broken. This terrible situation changed me forever.
I encourage everyone to consult a wellness coach. They can truly help you reach your health goals.
